HARLEY’S BUTCHERY & ROTISSERIE, HAMPSTEAD
Harley’s is a contemporary butchery and rotisserie set along the cobbled passageways of Hampstead, London. Samantha designed the front-of-house with the ambition to create a space that felt distinctly different from a traditional butcher’s shop - modern yet timeless, with a chic edge that reflects the team’s reputation among top London restaurants.
The design balances warmth with precision, pairing honest materials such as wood and stone with considered lighting and a clear spatial flow. These choices were driven by a focus on craftsmanship and functionality: every surface, shelf and display was planned to showcase the quality of the produce while maintaining an inviting, accessible feel for customers.
Nods to classic butchery heritage are woven into the contemporary aesthetic, helping the interior feel both refined and familiar. Red, a key part of the client’s brief, is used thoughtfully to add character and reinforce the brand without overpowering the space.
Through careful spatial planning and a curated palette of materials, Samantha achieved a look that is timeless yet impactful - an interior that supports the craft happening behind the counter, elevates the everyday experience of visiting a neighbourhood butcher, and gives Harley’s a strong, confident identity within its Hampstead setting.
